“Bo” Goes to the White House
One of President Obama’s campaign promises was fulfilled yesterday when a Portuguese Water Dog puppy, whose AKC-registered name is “Amigo’s First Hope,” arrived at the White House. The puppy, who the Obama girls have decided will be called “Bo,” is reported to be a gift to the First Family from fellow PWD aficionado Ted Kennedy. The AKC has offered its congratulations and a packet of helpful information about the breed and training to President and Mrs. Obama and their daughters.
